Forint, euro, dollars. Booked in one place
As a consultant, coach, or content creator, revenue often arrives from foreign clients or international platforms, in different currencies. EV Napló converts it to forint at the official MNB rate, and tracks your tax under your regular átalányadó or vállalkozói szja regime.
MNB rate

It's not the tax that's hard, it's the currency and VAT
My foreign clients don't withhold anything
A foreign client or platform doesn't withhold Hungarian tax for you, the same way a domestic payer wouldn't as a sole proprietor. The full amount is yours, and filing and paying is your responsibility.
I don't know which exchange rate to use
You have to convert the foreign-currency amount into forint, using either the official MNB rate or a chosen bank's rate, and that choice has to be applied consistently for the whole year.
I'm unsure about VAT when working for foreign clients
The place of supply often works differently for services than for goods, and even a VAT-exempt proprietor can sometimes need a VAT registration for a specific cross-border transaction.
Hungarian tax, tracked as you go
Your revenue and VAT exemption thresholds show up on the Dashboard at once, whether the income arrived in forint, euro, or dollars.
Hungarian Tax & NAV Integration →Income & expenses
Log revenue from your clients and platforms as it arrives, linked to the project or client it belongs to.
Income & Expenses →Multi-currency banking
Keep a EUR or USD account inside the app, converted to forint automatically using official MNB rates, no spreadsheet math required.
Multi-Currency Banking →Insights
A running tax estimate, broken down by quarter, so even with income that swings month to month and arrives in different currencies, what you owe is never a surprise.
Insights →Built for the rules that actually apply to you
This doesn't replace reading the specifics: the exact rules, with the exceptions, are in the full guides.
If you're a Hungarian tax resident, income from foreign clients or platforms is taxed in Hungary too, under your regular átalányadó or vállalkozói szja rules: there's no separate foreign-income tax.
A foreign-currency amount has to be converted to forint using the official MNB rate on the date of performance, or a chosen bank's rate, and that choice has to be applied consistently all year.
For many international platforms, the platform operator itself is your contracting and billing counterpart, not the end user: that affects who you invoice, and under which country's rules.
