EV Napló
For online sellers and webshop owners

Run a webshop. Skip the stock ledger.

Whether you sell from your own webshop or through Etsy, Vinted, or Amazon, EV Napló records your orders, even multi-product ones with different VAT rates on a single entry, and keeps your VAT exemption and átalányadó thresholds tracked all year, so a good month doesn't catch you off guard.

What trips people up

The orders aren't hard, the rules are

Do I need a separate stock ledger?

Not necessarily. Under itemized cost deduction, the cost of goods or materials counts as an expense when you pay for them, not when you sell them, and a full stock count is only required at closure or when switching tax regimes.

Am I still VAT-exempt?

The 2026 threshold of 20 million HUF can creep up faster than expected during a busy order season, and crossing it makes the entire transaction that crosses it taxable, not just the amount above it.

Do I need to charge VAT on a sale to Germany?

If you sell physical goods to private individuals in other EU countries, the distance-selling rules apply, with a single EU-wide annual threshold above which you need to register somewhere.

The rules that apply to you

Built for the rules that actually apply to you

This doesn't replace reading the specifics: the exact rules, with the exceptions, are in the full guides.

Holding stock doesn't by itself affect your tax base: the purchase cost counts when you pay for it, and the closing-stock value only becomes revenue at cessation or when switching tax regimes.

The VAT exemption's net revenue threshold is 20 million HUF in 2026, and crossing it makes the entire transaction that crosses it taxable.

Selling goods to private individuals in other EU countries needs OSS registration, or local VAT registration, once the EU-wide annual threshold of 10,000 euros is exceeded.

FAQ

Quick answers

Not under itemized cost deduction. The purchase cost counts as an expense when you pay for it, and an accurate count is only needed at closure or when you switch tax regimes.

What if I also sell abroad, on Etsy or Amazon?+

Goods sold to private individuals fall under the distance-selling rules, with a single EU-wide annual threshold of 10,000 euros. The full rules are in the dedicated guide.

Does EV Napló manage my product catalog or stock levels?+

No. EV Napló is bookkeeping software, not inventory management software: it records your income and expense entries, not how many units are on the shelf.

Can I track what I owe my suppliers?+

Yes. The Clients & Vendors feature automatically totals what you owe them, and what they owe you, from the entries linked to each.
